I present a “collection” of beautiful floral portraits, painted with a delicate black and white, with a special attention to detail and details!
The title “Ciuri Ciuri” is a quote from one of the most famous Sicilian folk songs, and it means, of course, “Flowers FLowers”.
I dedicate this project to all the gentle damsels of the world and to all my fans!

Flowers were photographed in studio on a glossy black background using three speedlight for lighting: a beauty dish as the main light (almost always front), a small softbox as fill light and a rear flash with snoot to emphasize the contours and the transparency of the petals.
The most pushed macros are made with extension tubes and, in some cases, with 3 or 4 shots on different focus planes later joined in Post Production (Focus Stacking).
In post adjustment contrasts, lights, sharpness and toning in that delicate definitive black and white, although the color photos are equally wonderful!
And these are the flowers featured in the shots: Rosa, Margherita, Lion,Lily of the Sea, Lily, Poppy, Hibiscus, Purple, Dalia, Caper, and many others… (Flowers Encyclopedia).
